Azerbaijan’s ornithological tourism opportunities were presented at the Global Bird Fair, an international birdwatching tourism exhibition held in Rutland, United Kingdom.

During the event, information was provided on Azerbaijan’s birdwatching potential, including mountainous regions and water bodies, rare bird species, the most favorable seasons for birdwatching, and the biodiversity of national parks and natural areas. Additionally, B2B meetings were held to strengthen professional partnerships in the field.

The State Tourism Agency and Azerbaijan Tourism Board, in close cooperation with international experts and the Azerbaijan Ornithological Society, have implemented various initiatives to promote ornithological tourism as a key segment of ecotourism. These efforts include the development of specialized brochures and the organization of training sessions for nature tourism guides.

The Global Bird Fair is an annual international event promoting birdwatching tourism, bringing together representatives from over 60 countries to foster global awareness and collaboration in the field.
